Diagnostic Imaging for Cats
At Tucker Road Animal Hospital, we use digital radiography (X-rays) and in-house ultrasound to help diagnose a wide range of conditions, from injuries and arthritis to heart disease, bladder stones, and gastrointestinal problems. Our digital X-ray system allows us to quickly obtain high-quality images, which can be reviewed by board-certified veterinary radiologists when additional expertise is needed. For our in-house imaging, some cats may require mild sedation to ensure their comfort and obtain the highest quality images.
Diagnostic imaging helps us look beneath the surface and better understand what is happening inside your cat's body, allowing for more accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations. For patients who require advanced imaging such as comprehensive ultrasound, CT, or MRI, we can coordinate referral to trusted specialists to ensure your cat receives the most appropriate care. The type of imaging recommended will depend on your cat's symptoms, medical history, and examination findings.

Because cats are masters at hiding illness and discomfort, diagnostic imaging often plays an important role in identifying problems early, allowing for more timely treatment and better outcomes.
